Members of the Cheyenne League of Women Voters research historical files at the Wyoming State Archives in preparation for the 70th anniversary celebration of the Cheyenne League. In 1951, the Cheyenne League received provisional status, marking the first League in Wyoming. The state archives holds the early papers and minutes of the Cheyenne League.
The Cheyenne LWW is non-partisan and does not support, rate, or endorse candidates or political parties. We support civil, informed discussion of issues and advocate governmental access for all citizens. We encourage informed and active participation in government, work to increase understanding of major public policy issues and influence public policy through education and advocacy. The League is a volunteer, member-directed organization of women and men.
