League of Women Voters of Laramie

The League of Women Voters of Laramie was formed in 1953. We are located in the Wyoming town where, in 1870, the first woman's vote was cast under Wyoming's general and unconditional female suffrage that also guaranteed women the right to hold office.

The Board of Directors meets in the County Courthouse, 2017.

The author of Voting Down the Rose: Florence Brooks Whitehouse and Maine's Fight for Woman Suffrage says, "I fell in love with suffrage history and am now passionate about sharing it with others."
